LaVaque-Manty Using Game-Based Grading
Mika LaVaque-Manty, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor and Associate Professor of Political Science, was featured in U.S. News & World Report on an innovative, game-based grading system he uses to motivate students.
Professor LaVaque-Manty is interested in political thought from the seventeenth century to today, particularly in questions regarding political action and agency, and in their explanation. His current projects focus on autonomy and agency in educational institutions and practices.
Professor LaVaque-Manty is author of The Playing Fields of Eton: Equality and Excellence in Modern Meritocracy.
