Allen Hicken received two awards from the American Political Science Association (APSA).

Awards included the 2016 Lijphart/Przeworski/Verba Dataset Award of the Comparative Politics Section of the American Political Science Association for the V-Dem dataset as well as the Best Paper Award from the Southeast Asia Related Group from the 2015 APSA meeting.
