Assistant Professor (by courtesy), Michael Heaney was selected as a co-winner of the American Political Science Association (ASPA)'s Leon Epstein Outstanding Book Award.

The award recognizes a book published in the last two calendar years that made an outstanding contribution to research and scholarship on political organizations and parties.

His book was titled, Party in the Street: The Antiwar Movement and the Democratic Party after 9/11.
