Associate Professor, Jowei Chen was recently quoted in a New York Times article regarding the Midwest and the election. The article is titled, "Go Midwest, Young Hipster" with the subheading "If you really want Democrats to win in Iowa, move there."

Chen states, "It would be awfully difficult to construct a map that wasn't leaning Republican." He contunies to say, "Geography is just very unfortunate from the perspective of the Democrats."
