PATHWAY
Advancing Global Educational Equity and Inclusion
My current academic and career pathway is crafted around a deep interest in global organizations, education policy, and the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). This interest is not only driven by intellectual curiosity but also by my aspirations towards graduate studies and a professional career that can influence public policy and educational frameworks at a global level. I am particularly motivated to explore how educational policies can be reformed to better serve diverse populations and how these policies impact global educational equity. I plan to engage with a variety of courses that span international relations, public policy, and education studies.
This interdisciplinary approach will provide a robust foundation for understanding the complexities of policy-making, international education systems, and the implementation of DEI principles in educational and professional environments worldwide. Additionally, I intend to complement my studies with internships at organizations that focus on these areas, aiming to gain practical experience and contribute to meaningful projects that seek to enhance inclusivity and fairness in education.
Recognizing that my pathway might evolve as I gain more knowledge and experience, I view my current plan as a dynamic framework. It will guide my academic choices and extracurricular engagements while remaining flexible enough to incorporate new interests and opportunities that align with my evolving understanding of these intersecting fields. This approach will prepare me not only for advanced academic pursuits, possibly a JD-PhD in Public Policy, but also for a impactful career aimed at fostering educational equity and inclusive policies at the global level.
