Selim Esedoglu

I work on mathematical problems from image processing, computer vision, and more recently, materials science, using methods from the calculus of variations and partial differential equations. This includes analysis of existing models and algorithms for these applications, as well as developing new ones. One recent focus has been algorithms (numerical methods) for the geometric motion of interfaces, such as motion by mean curvature.
