Come and experience a unique variation on a familiar game! Attendees will create their own bingo boards, replacing traditional bingo card numbers with images from Afrofuturist art and comics. We'll make this classic game just a bit more interactive with the help of an emergent and thought-provoking genre celebrating the Black conceptualization of how societal advancement should be undertaken, both realistically and fantastically.
There will be snacks and prizes from local African-American owned businesses, and you'll be able to take your unique bingo card home!

The event is part of Humanities Afrofutures, month-long series of events at the University of Michigan bringing together scholars, artists, and activists to reexamine the past, explore critical issues in the present, and create a space for imagining possible futures.
