About
Lena von Moltke is a senior majoring in social theory & practice (STP) and German with a minor in gender & health. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Lena is passionate about her community both on and off campus. Through her STP major, Lena has taken a broad variety of classes from different departments exploring the social theory of women’s health, childbirth, and sexuality. Her German major has given her the opportunity to take courses taught in German which explore central issues in all areas of German studies. On campus she is very involved in the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center's Bystander Intervention and Community Engagement group, creating and facilitating workshops on consent, healthy relationships, and bystander intervention. She has also been a Community Matters cohort facilitator through the University's First Year Experience program. Last spring semester Lena participated in the U-M English department’s New England Literature Program where she spent 7 weeks in the New Hampshire woods reading various works of poetry and prose by New England authors and exploring the community and environment around her. In her free time throughout college Lena has enjoyed working as a barista and “local foodivore” at Argus Farm Stop!
