Intermittent Lecturer
About
Mr. Sean McGee has been affiliated with the Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP) since 1987, which is when he enrolled in the University of Michigan as a Summer Bridge Student. He was hired by CSP as a course assistant after his freshmen year and worked as a tutor every summer until 1991. Sean obtained a bachelor’s in mathematics education from the University of Michigan’s School of Education and received a position teaching mathematics in Detroit Public Schools in 1991. In the summer of 1995, he returned to CSP to teach Summer Bridge. He’s had the opportunity to teach every Bridge class since, thus making this year his 27th summer as a Bridge mathematics instructor. Although this year is far different than the ones in the past, Sean looks forward to being a part of helping his students achieve their academic goals as well as preparing another class for the rigorous mathematics program offered here at the University of Michigan.
Sean enjoys watching action movies and listening to music. He is very family orientated and finds relaxation in grilling and learning how to repair things by watching YouTube. He is most gratified when he’s able to save money by repairing items himself instead of having to hire outside help.
