Academic Advising

As a CSP student, you will be assigned an advisor who will engage you in exploring and discovering various opportunities, resources and paths with the goal of assisting you in reaching your academic, social, career, personal objectives. Our Advisors will help you visualize, instrumentalize and execute an individualized track which will be best suited for you. If at any time you need some advice or someone to talk to, we have got you covered. CSP advisors are specifically trained to approach advising holistically and will be more than willing to help you work through a personal situation as well.

Appointment Scheduling

Students can schedule an appointment using one of the following methods:

1. Use the self-service online appointment scheduling tool which is available anytime.
2. Stop by the CSP office (G155 Angell Hall) during business hours.
3. Call the CSP front desk at (734) 764-9128 during business hours.

You will receive an email confirming your appointment.  For in-person appointments, please pay close attention to the location as most in-person appointments will not take place in the CSP Office (G155 Angell Hall).

Virtual Drop-in Advising at CSP

Virtual drop-in advising is available for CSP scholars starting on Monday October 28 (through December 9). We will be offering drop-in advising from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (no drop-in advising on Tuesday). Additionally, 

• Drop-in advising will be available from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm on Friday Nov 1.
  
• No drop-in advising from Monday Nov 25 - Friday Nov 29.
  

The virtual drop-in advising queue is at this link. Drop-ins are first-come, first-served quick appointments. While every effort will be made to see you promptly, we appreciate your patience if there is a wait in the queue. 

Please note that we will not be offering in-person drop-in appointments. Drop-in advising will be conducted only virtually at this link.
