As the new academic year unfolds on campus, there's excitement in the air not just for the return to classes and campus life, but also for a major renovation happening to the CSP office suite in 1139 Angell Hall.

After nearly 18 months of planning, this transformative project is set to create a more modern and inclusive environment that supports the needs of our diverse community of scholars, faculty, and staff.  While the anticipated completion date is May 2025, several temporary changes are in place to ensure uninterrupted services.

During the renovation, our impacted staff and faculty have relocated to other campus locations:

G155 Angell Hall
This location will serve as our main office, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Services at this location include general front desk assistance, embedded CAPS counseling, some advising appointments, and office hours for select faculty.

LSA Building
Many in-person advising appointments will be held here.  Students with advising appointmens at this location should check in at the LSA Navigatoin desk on the first floor where they will be directed to the designated waiting area.

555 South Forest Building
Non-advising staff, including those in administration, living-learning programs, and teaching and learning, will be based here.

Adjustments to Academic Advising Services
The temporary relocation has necessitated some adjustments to our advising operations:

  • Location of In-Person Appointments: These will take place either in the LSA Building or G155 Angell Hall. Students should refer to their appointment confirmation emails for details or contact the main office for clarification.
  • Advising Schedule: No advising appointments will be scheduled on Tuesdays due to space and logistical constraints.
  • Virtual Drop-In Advising: Available for the fall term on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students can join the virtual queue during these times.

While this transition may present some temporary inconveniences, the end goal is to create a dynamic, bright, and welcoming space that is conducive to learning, collaboration, and community building. The renovated space will be a home for our scholars—a place that is inclusive, provides a sense of belonging, and continues to serve as a valuable resource for students for years to come.
