In the Summer Bridge Scholars Program, we aim to enrich your first semester with a variety of experiences to effectively prepare you for your college career. We understand the importance of creating an experience that accurately reflects what you can expect to experience after completing the program.
During the traditional fall and winter semesters, you will need to balance coursework with other commitments such as clubs/organizations, research opportunities, internships, campus jobs, etc. For this reason, our program requires you to be engaged both inside and outside of the classroom.
Over the summer, in addition to classes, you will participate in required co-curricular programming that aims to expand your campus network, establish a strong community of peers, and further develop essential skills for your academic success.
By the end of the summer, our goal is for you to have built strong relationships with instructors, peers, your academic advisor, the SBSP community, and the campus at large. These connections will create a foundation for future opportunities that support your academic, professional, and personal growth throughout your undergraduate journey and beyond.
