Professor Miranda is the Samuel A. Graham Dean of the School of Natural Resources and holds appointments in the Departments of Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology at
the Medical School here at the University of Michigan. She focuses on improving health outcomes for disadvantaged populations, especially children, and will share her groups’ focus on a holistic health triangle encompassing the environment, social, and host determinants of health and well-being. She is also the founding director of the Children’s Environmental Health Initiative, a research, education, and outreach program committed to fostering environments where all people can prosper. Professor Miranda was previously a faculty member at Duke University with appointments in the Nicholas School of the Environment, Department of Pediatrics, Integrated Toxicology and Environmental Health Program, and the Duke Global Health Institute.
