Shaping Global Leaders at Michigan
The Program in International and Comparative Studies (PICS) stands as the cornerstone of Global and International Studies at the University of Michigan. As a vibrant interdisciplinary program, PICS is dedicated to preparing students to become informed, engaged, and effective global citizens and leaders.
We administer one of the largest undergraduate programs on campus, in the form of both a major and minor in international studies, while also providing grant and fellowship support for student research projects, study abroad, and internships.
PICS is a member of the U-M International Institute (II), and partners with the other 15 centers and programs that make up the II. These partnerships allow our students to access an array of internationally-focused programs and events, as well as regionally focussed funding opportunities.
