Brian Miller

Brian Miller is a scholar of music and technology. His research focuses on the role of computation in musical theory and practice, with publications on topics including computer improvisation and the stylistic modeling of jazz, the role of information theory in postwar music theory, and the semiotics of musical algorithms.

As a lecturer in the Program in Computing for the Arts and Sciences, he teaches courses on critical computing and computing in the arts.
