About
Ying Wang is a fifth year PhD student in the math department studying algebraic geometry. She has done multiple digital humanities projects in the past, such as helping build an interactive database documenting the policing of male homosexuality in 18th century Paris.
Ying is excited to work with COMPFOR scholars to help them express their creativity through computing, and open the door to the world of programming. She is also looking forward to the diverse backgrounds and perspectives the scholars will bring to the course!
When she is not doing math, she likes reading, writing, and drawing, most often with her five year old cat Lina curled up nearby.
Ying serves as a GSI for COMPFOR 121 - "Computing for Creative Expression " in FA25
