About
Miranda Brown teaches various aspects of Chinese history and the History of Medicine in China. She is currently working on a series of essays on conceptions of time from the Warring States period (ca. 453-221 BC) through the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). She has completed a book,The Art of Medicine in Early China: The Ancient and Medieval Origins of a Modern Archive (2015), which examines the formation of the classical medical tradition during the early imperial period.
In addition, she is the editor of Fragments: Interdisciplinary Approaches to the Study of Ancient and Medieval Pasts, published through MPublishing. For a list of her publications, please see her homepage.
