In today's era of big data, statisticians face new and unique challenges resulting from the size and nature of available data. This has created a need for new training approaches that are closely integrated with current research directions.
This project is aimed toward training undergraduate and graduate students and postdocs in modern techniques for dynamic big data with complex structures. It also focuses on modern teaching methods for statistics, as well as provides mentoring on all aspects of professional development. In that way, Ph.D. students and postdocs will be fully-prepared to face today's challenges as they become independent researchers.
