About
Before joining University of Michigan, Dr. Yufeng Liu was Professor of Statistics, Biostatistics, and Genetics at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). His research interests include statistical machine learning, complex data analysis, precision medicine, bioinformatics, and e-commerce. He has published more than 150 papers on top statistical research and application journals. Dr. Liu served as principal investigators for multiple research grants from National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health. He received the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation in 2008, The Ruth and Phillip Hettleman Prize for Artistic and Scholarly Achievement from UNC in 2010, and the Inaugural Leo Breiman Junior Award from American Statistical Association in 2017. He is an elected Fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA), the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS), and an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI).
