Weijing Tang and Peter MacDonald receive 2021 ASA Statistical Learning and Data Science Student Paper Awards
The Department of Statistics is happy to congratulate Weijing Tang and Peter MacDonald for both winning the 2021 American Statistical Association (ASA) Statistical Learning and Data Science Student Paper Award!
Weijing, a fifth-year Statistics PhD student, received this award for her paper entitled "Population-level balance in signed networks: a latent space approach." Peter, a third-year Statistics PhD student, received this award for his paper entitled "Latent space models for multiplex networks with shared structure" (co-authored with Professors Liza Levina and Ji Zhu).
