The Department of Statistics would like to congratulate Gonjun Xu, assistant professor of statistics, who was recently a recipient of the Outstanding Young Researcher Award 2019 from the International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA). Gongjun was presented with this award in recognition of his "fundamental contributions to latent-class models and statistical modeling and inference for educational measurements."

The Outstanding Young Researcher Award is given to select junior researchers in recognition of their exceptional research in statistical theory, methodology, and/or applications.
