The Department of Statistics is very happy to share that our very own Gina Cornacchia has received an Excellence in Departmental Advising Award! Gina is the Undergraduate Coordinator for the Department of Statistics and one of her important roles is to provide general advising for all of the department’s undergraduate programs.
The Excellence in Departmental Advising Award is an award granted each year by the College of Literature, Science and the Arts and recognizes outstanding advisors who have demonstrated leadership in departmental advising, as well as sensitivity to the needs of non-traditional students. Gina was recognized particularly for her compassion with and efforts on behalf of the students, her knowledge of the variety of programs in Statistics, and her engagement with the department at all levels. Congratulations to Gina!
