The Department of Statistics is excited to congratulate Aritra Guha, a fifth year Ph.D. student, for winning the Best Poster Presentation Award at the 12th International Conference on Bayesian Nonparametrics (BNP12) held in Oxford on June 24-28. Aritra received the award for his presentation of his poster titled “On posterior contraction of parameters and interpretability in Bayesian mixture modeling.” Congratulations also to Aritra’s advisor, Long Nguyen.
