Project Senior Manager
About
Doreen N. Tinajero is the Project Senior Manager at the Center for Social Solutions. She manages the Center’s inaugural project, Our Compelling Interests. Doreen was recruited to help establish the Center and continues to support various aspects of the Center. She served as the president of the Women of Color Task Force from 2022-2024, and is a current member of Organizational Learning's Facilitator Engagement Program and the Anti-Racist Alliance. Prior to joining Dr. Lewis at the University of Michigan, Doreen served multiple roles at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in New York since 1997. Her tenure included work in the Foundation’s Conservation and the Environment program until its closure in 2013, subsequently supporting the newly established International Higher Education and Strategic Projects program. While supporting a $13M international effort, she also served as a project manager on a president-led initiative. Doreen has earned a BS from Marymount Manhattan College, and an MA from New York University.
She serves as a board member at SafeHouse Center and a committee member at the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation.
