Since the inception of the Center for Social Solutions, over 30 graduate and undergraduate students from a variety of personal and educational backgrounds have joined our team. A handful continue to serve in different capacities such as marketing assistants, research interns, fellows, and more.
Many of the students who have been employed at CSS come to us through our outreach to various initiatives at the University of Michigan. These include the SOULS Project in the Department of Sociology (which serves first generation undergraduate students), the Rackham School of Graduate Studies Doctoral Intern Fellowship Program, and the University of Michigan's SummerWorks program (serving local high school students). CSS's participation in these pipeline efforts have further cementented our commitment to partnership and collaboration.
The experience and unique perspectives of our past and present student employees are integral to the culture of the Center for Social Solutions and the work we produce. In turn, our students are able to utilize the knowledge and connections gained through the Center to further their goals, careers, and research projects.
