Mellissa Meisels is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Michigan. Her research on American politics centers on the strategies of candidates and financial contributors in congressional elections, with an emphasis on intraparty dynamics. Much of this work relies upon original data collection, ideal point estimation, and natural language processing.
Prior to Michigan, Dr. Meisels was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Yale University. Her work appears in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science, and Political Science Research and Methods.
