Local Fundraising Committee
Interested in fundraising? Want to raise money for a meaningful cause? Join our local fundraising committee! PCAP is seeking volunteers to help us fundraise for our Annual Exhibtion, which showcases work by artists in prison across Michigan. Join us so we can keep empowering incarcerated artists! No fundraising experience needed. Our first meeting is on September 16th, at 6pm in East Quad room 1807. Participants may also attend via zoom sign up below to learn more.
Volunteering for Art Auction
Every December, PCAP hosts an art auction where works from the PCAP donated art collection are available for sale. The proceeds from this event directly support our Annual Exhibition, which showcases hundreds of pieces of artwork by incarcerated artists. All proceeds generated from the annual exhibition, minus necessary taxes and fees, go to artists inside Michigan Prisons, so it's important we gather enough support at the art auction to make the exhibition possible. Volunteers for the art auction need to attend one volunteer meeting in November and then help out during the week of the event. Volunteers can choose any number of 3-hour volunteer shifts. The sign-up form will be available soon.
Volunteering for the Annual Exhibition
Our Annual Exhibition of Artists in Michigan prisons is the largest of its kind in the US, featuring over 500 pieces of artwork, events, and community engagement each year. We need volunteers to support the exhibition. Volunteers can choose any number of 3-hour volunteer shifts leading up to and during the event. The sign-up form will be available soon.
Community Event Support
PCAP hosts a variety of community events to engage people and provide mutual learning opportunities on art and incarceration, and we need volunteers to support these efforts.
Volunteer sign-up forms will be posted here as they are available. Want to get updates on volunteer opportunities? Fill out the PCAP Interest form
