“I have been living in Geneva, Switzerland for the past seven months, first through a study abroad program and then as an intern. I worked at United Nations Watch, a UN watchdog organization, and frequently visited the UN to take notes and attend side meetings during the 56th session of the Human Rights Council. During my semester abroad, I had toured the UN but had never been allowed inside the main conference room -- it was an incredibly exciting feeling to be able to sit next to delegates from all over the world and listen to their debate. I also had the opportunity to publish a report on the president of the International Court of Justice. Geneva is one of the best cities in the world if you are an International Studies major, and I can't wait to go back!”
Future Plans: “I hope to take several years off to work and travel, and then I plan to attend law school. One of my biggest goals is to continue my Hebrew and Arabic language studies so that I can engage in some type of diplomatic work in the Middle East.”
