Join us on October 8th at 5:00 PM to hear from Kevin Barta, director of digital communications and Amy Storrow, director of alumni affairs at the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Kevin will speak about his career path as an International Studies major to his current civil service position. Amy will speak about her career path, which led to the U.S. Foreign Service. Bring your questions, as there will be plenty of time for discussion on the career options and paths for interning and working at State.
Kevin Barta is currently the Director of Digital Communications in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). He previously was an ECA Program Officer: Innovation, Technology, and Design for the EducationUSA Office. Kevin has over 12 years of experience in the field of international education and is a veteran of using social media, web and mobile technologies to build digital relationships for businesses, organizations, and individuals.
Amy Storrow is a career foreign service officer and the current Director of Alumni Affairs, U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Amy just stepped down from her previous position as Senior Advisor for Innovation, where she led establishment of the Collaboratory project for creating opportunities to engage people through technology while maintaining face to face interaction.
