CREES Graduate Student Associates include University of Michigan, Ann Arbor students enrolled in center graduate programs or specializing in Russian, East European, or Eurasian studies in other graduate-level departmental or professional degree programs. Graduate Student Associates are an integral part of the multidisciplinary community of scholars at CREES.
Eligibility
U-M students in REES master’s degree and certificate programs are automatically considered CREES Graduate Student Associates. U-M students pursuing other REE-focused graduate-level degrees may apply for this status.

- Priority in opportunities for contact with CREES visiting scholars and guest lecturers
- Eligibility to vote and be elected to the CREES Executive Committee
Application Procedure
Applicants for CREES Graduate Student Associate status must submit an application form. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
