Project on Community-Engaged Learning for Health Profession Students in the US and Uganda
How does community-engaged learning impact attitudes about other health disciplines and cultural differences among students from a variety of health disciplines in the US and Uganda?
A new project, “Effects of Community-Engaged Education on Interprofessional and Cross Cultural Attitudes Among Health Professions Students from the United States and Uganda,” seeks to address this key question, and was one of the five projects that have been awarded the IP-X Stimulus Grants for 2019. The team members are: Brent Williams, Medical School; Megan Eagle and Leslie Nestro, School of Nursing; Mary Ruffolo and Katie Lopez, School of Social Work.
