ASC associate faculty member Arun Agrawal, Samuel Trask Dana Professor and professor of environment and sustainability, was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in recognition of his distinguished and continuing achievements in original research on how humans influence and are shaped by the natural world. Agrawal currently conducts research in various countries in east Africa, in addition to South Asia, Indonesia, and Brazil.
