CAS is accepting applications from U-M undergraduate and graduate students for travel grants. The Haiganoosh Mengushian/Ajemian Memorial Student Travel Award supports field work, study abroad, internship, and conference participation related to Armenian studies. Awards will be made subject to availability of funding.
Conference travel grants are intended for students who will present Armenian studies-focused papers or serve as chairs or discussants for Armenian studies-focused sessions at regional, national, or international conferences. These awards are intended to supplement other U-M conference participation grants.
Travel grants to support field work, internship, and study abroad can be used for airfare or other travel expenses. More substantial research funding is available during the summer through the CAS Summer Research Grants.
Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in full-time undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree programs at the University of Michigan. Students may apply for one CAS Student Travel Grant per year. Upon completing the project, the student must return to campus for at least one term prior to graduation.
Application Requirements: Applicants must submit an application form and supporting documents noted on the form. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and must be submitted in advance of the travel.
Application form and supporting materials should be sent directly to cas.fellowships@umich.edu.
Questions should be directed to cas.fellowships@umich.edu or 734.763.0622.
