The Center for Armenian Studies is built on the solid foundation of a rigorous curriculum offered by the two endowed chairs in Armenian studies: the Alex Manoogian Chair in Modern Armenian History and the Marie Manoogian Chair in Armenian Language and Literature. Every year we complement our curriculum with the most promising international scholars to create a vibrant intellectual community of Armenian studies by hosting workshops, conferences, lectures and film screenings.
CAS promotes the study of the history, language, and culture of Armenia and Armenians and helps prepare a new generation of scholars in the field. We seek to increase the depth and breadth of resources devoted to Armenian studies at U-M through an endowed fund that provides permanent support for the center.
With your help, the newly established Graduate Student Fellowship Fund will offer graduate student tuition, benefits, and summer research funding to incoming and current graduate students. Costs for higher education are on the rise. Your gift is critical to helping us attract and retain the most outstanding graduate students from both the US and overseas.
We also have the Armenian Endowment Fund & Center for Armenian Studies Strategic Fund to accept donations. These funds seek to increase the depth of resources devoted to Armenian studies to provide permanent support for the center.
In an effort to foster community engagement, in recognition of every donation of $65 or higher, we will send you one of our special CAS T-shirts! Our Center T-shirts not only represent your support for Armenian Studies but also help raise awareness of our vibrant community!
