About
Caspian completed their bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a double major in Classics and History. For their master’s degree, they traveled to Helsinki, Finland for a master’s program that combined the strengths of five Nordic universities to study the early history of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Their dissertation focuses on the theme of watching and being watched in late antique Christian texts as a window into social concerns and easily-overlooked social connections.
Caspian’s research interests include religion, group dynamics, and marginalized identities in the late Roman Empire.
