U-M Group Visits

• Please contact our office at ummnh.office@umich.edu or 734-764-0480 to reserve your time in the galleries. We request two weeks' advance notice.
• There is no charge for U-M classes. By reserving your time, you will avoid conflicts with other groups (imagine trying to talk over the voices of 100 first graders). Your reservation helps us keep track of the U-M courses we serve.
• To reserve U-M class visit time, we will need:
  • U-M course number
  • Number of students in your class
  • Date(s) and time(s) of visit(s)
  • Gallery or galleries students will visit
• Check here for current museum hours. If your class meets when the museum is closed, we can arrange for after-hours access at no charge. (Three weeks' advance notice is required for evening visits.)
• Let us know how the museum staff can help. We can provide staff-led programs tailored to your specific class needs.
• The Museum of Natural History offers science communication training and presentation opportunities for undergraduates involved in research.  Ask us how we can serve your class or program. Contact Jade Marks at 734-647-1382 or jamarks@umich.edu.
  

U-M department faculty and staff groups, K–12 groups visiting with U-M departments, and U-M student groups visiting outside of class time are encouraged to arrange for visits, tours, and programs. Group fees apply to these visits. Contact our office at least 2–3 weeks in advance at ummnh.office@umich.edu or 734-764-0480 to schedule.
