GET INVOLVED!
University of Michigan undergraduates are inquisitive, creative, and determined to make a difference. Whether you are looking for someone who shares your interests and commitments or for someone who might show you new ways to explore, serve, and change the world, the opportunities provided by the hundreds of student organizations are a great place to get started. Maize Pages is a comprehensive listing of all the student organizations on campus sponsored by U-M.
U-M boasts many pre-health related student organizations. These organizations offer students a network of fellow students with similar interests as well as connections to volunteering, shadowing, and other opportunities. In addition to Pre-Health related clubs and organizations, you should also find clubs that connect to your other interest areas. Graduate programs view engagement within student organizations as a means to build skills in a variety of areas such as leadership, team building, and communication. These programs value sustained and active involvement which you will want to highlight in your future applications. They do not preference engagement in a pre-health related student organization over engagment in a non-pre-health related student organization, so truly pursue student groups that connect with your interests.
