James Strickland (PhD, U-M Political Science, 2019) is the recipient of APSA's William Anderson Award for the best doctoral dissertation in the general field of federalism or intergovernmental relations, state and local politics. The dissertation is titled, "Multi-Client Lobbying in the American States."
James Strickland is an assistant professor in the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University. His primary areas of research include interest groups, legislatures and U.S. state politics. In his research, Strickland focuses on the influence of legislative institutions and lobby regulations on the political mobilization of organized interest groups.
