Deborah Beim has received the American Political Science Association (APSA) Law and Courts Best Journal Article Award for her paper with Kelly Rader titled, "Legal Uniformity in American Courts." This award recognizes the best journal article in the field of law and courts written by a political scientist and published during the previous calendar year. Articles published in all refereed journals and in law reviews were eligible.
Deborah Beim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Michigan. She studies American politics in general and judicial politics in particular, with a focus on interactions between the U.S. Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeals. She is also interested in applied game theory.
