Alumnus Allard Selected as RSF Visiting Scholar
The Russell Sage Foundation has announced Scott Allard (PhD, U-M Political Science, 1999) as part of its 2020-2021 Class of Visiting Scholars. While in residence at RSF in New York City, Scott will pursue research and writing projects that reflect the foundation’s commitment to strengthening the social sciences and conducting research to “improve social and living conditions in the United States."
Scott W. Allard is a Professor at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington with expertise in social welfare policy, federalism and intergovernmental relationships, and urban policy. He is author of Out of Reach: Place, Poverty, and the New American Welfare State (Yale University Press).
