Two LSA Faculty Awarded First Andrew Carnegie Fellowships to Support the Social Sciences and Humanities
April 22, 2015— The Carnegie Corporation of New York has announced its inaugural class of 32 Andrew Carnegie Fellows, which includes two members of the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts faculty. Recipients include Arthur Lupia, the Hal R. Varian Collegiate Professor of Political Science and Professor of Political Science, and John D. Ciorciari, Assistant Professor of Public Policy, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and faculty member in the Center for Southeast Asian Studies in the International Institute.
The fellowship, which was established to support the social sciences and the humanities, awards recipients up to $200,000 each, and enables them to devote time to research and writing in their fields.
