Chris Skovron Wins Eldersveld Best Paper Award
Chris Skovron, Graduate Student of Political Science at the University of Michigan, has won this year's competition for the Eldersveld Best Paper Award. This award, established generously by Professor Emeritus Samuel J. Eldersveld, alternates annually between faculty and students, and is awarded to the best paper presented at a conference over the prior two years. This year five papers were nominated, and Jenna Bednar, Rob Franzese, and Mika Lavaque-Manty had the difficult pleasure of selecting just one to recognize from a very fine set. Chris' paper, coauthored with a graduate student at Berkeley, is titled "What Politicians Believe about their Constituents: Asymmetric Misperceptions and Prospects for Constituency Control."
