Understanding Business Strategy Through Economics and Human Behavior
My pathway explores the intersection of economics, psychology, and business strategy, focusing on how human behavior influences financial decision-making, consumer behavior, and organizational strategy. As a double major in Economics and Organizational Studies, my coursework will primarily focus on economic principles, but my interest in psychology will shape how I approach business concepts. I am particularly drawn to behavioral economics, marketing, finance, and consulting, as these fields integrate human decision-making with data-driven analysis to solve complex business challenges.
I am also interested in how these ideas apply across both for-profit and nonprofit sectors—specifically, how organizations can balance financial sustainability with broader societal impact. Understanding decision-making, incentives, and organizational structures can provide valuable insights into how businesses and nonprofits operate and interact. While I am still exploring specific career paths, consulting interests me as it blends problem-solving, strategic thinking, and data analysis, all of which align with my academic focus. Whether in consulting, finance, or another business field, I want to apply insights from economics and human behavior to help organizations make more informed and effective strategic decisions.
