Strategic Decision-Making and Innovation in Financial Organizations
My pathway explores how organizations—particularly financial institutions—operate at the intersection of strategic decision-making, economic systems, and entrepreneurial innovation. I am especially interested in the structure and behavior of commercial banks and how organizational design influences lending decisions, risk management, and economic development. As someone pursuing a minor in Entrepreneurship, I also aim to understand how entrepreneurial thinking within financial institutions can drive innovation, support small business growth, and improve access to capital. This pathway allows me to blend economic analysis, organizational behavior, and applied business thinking to prepare for a career in commercial banking, where I hope to work on solutions that promote both institutional success and economic inclusion. Through courses in economics, business, and organizational studies, I will develop a cohesive understanding of how financial organizations function, how decisions are made within them, and how they can adapt in a rapidly evolving economic landscape.
