The Intersection of Law and Business: An Ethical Dilemma
My OS pathway is focused on exploring the intersection of law and business. Specifically, I aim to study the struggle between profitability and morality within organizations. In every business, laws and regulations prohibit certain unethical yet profitable actions that an organization may consider. I want to delve deeper into the concept of legal compliance in organizations and understand the decision-making processes behind organizations that seek unethical loopholes in these laws.
Furthermore, my pathway will explore the intersectionality of law and business from a legal marketing and business development standpoint. How do business development and marketing operate in the legal field? This aspect of my pathway will heavily rely on exploring patterns of decision-making, human behavior, and motivators.
My Organizational Studies coursework in law, psychology, and business operations will provide me with a well-rounded understanding of moral and ethical dilemmas in the corporate world, along with insights into legal marketing strategies. This comprehensive view will prepare me for my professional aspirations as a lawyer.
