PATHWAY
Advance Quality and Efficiency of Organizational Output Through Equitable Practices
My OS pathway is shaped by my intellectual interests, preparation for graduate schools, and optimized to complement the sum of my professional experiences. I have been fortunate to work within globally connected organizations during my career as an IT project manager, and I have observed that the most important aspect of any healthy organization is quality. It is my belief that a successful leader must have an enhanced and ever-present focus on quality of personnel, quality of life, and quality of product and service. When we build and maintain organizational structures that inherently limit or eliminate underrepresented candidates from the talent pool, we ultimately deliver an inferior product and experience to our community. I intend to examine societal inequalities embedded in the DNA of our institutions, traditions, and corporations, and to explore the organizational impact of this as a liability. I also look forward to pursuing a business minor to advance my professional acumen. Through OS, I plan to identify barriers to diverse and equitable organizational cultural growth, and to develop and implement strategies and techniques to evaporate those roadblocks in order to leap closer to a more perfect experience for each one of us as end users. Whether my path leads me to law school or towards an MBA, the equitable treatment of people lies at the intersectionality of quality and efficiency, and my goal is to develop an expertise in that domain.
