The Pathway to Automotive, Consulting, and Entrepreneurship
Upon being admitted to Michigan, I aspired to work in a STEM-related field to help fulfill my fascination with cars that I had fostered since a young age. However, I realized that I found the Economics and Social Science classes more enjoyable than the Engineering classes. Therefore, I knew that my time at Michigan would not be as enjoyable as I kept chasing the Engineering path because what I was truly after was deeply rooted in my love for business, which is what ultimately led me to apply to the Organizational Studies program. Aligning with my love for business, I have the aspiration of creating a nonprofit organization to close the access gap between the rich and poor in the topic of financial literacy. Pairing this with a minor in Business Administration through Ross would provide transferable skills in Marketing, Accounting, Strategy, and Management that will be necessary to not only navigate the ins and outs of running an organization. It will also allow me to have the flexibility to navigate within a wide array of industries such as automotive, consulting, and even entrepreneurship through the exploration of business principles.
