Understanding Human Behavior to Foster a Comfortable and Inclusive Environment
Organizations are composed of various components that act jointly towards a common goal. Sometimes, however, parts of the organizations do not work seamlessly. What causes an organization to develop versus one that crumbles? While pursuing my major in Organizational Studies and minor in Entrepreneurship, I aim to explore how the difference in human behaviors may impact the overall functioning of organizations. I want to understand the reasons behind an individual’s thoughts and actions while also delving into how the presence of emotional intelligence can aid in overcoming conflict. I find that fostering an environment in which each individual is comfortable and are encouraged to follow their own passions is key to a successful organization. Within my studies, I will seek to understand how individuals collaborate and support each other to persevere in the face of adversity and achieve intended organizational goals.
