Disruptive Innovation through Interdisciplinary Strategy Development, Decision Making, and Technology
For as long as I can remember, I've been intrigued by the art of decision-making and the analytical thinking and strategy that transpires behind the scenes of every decision. Why are some strategies more effective than others? How can organizations and individuals make informed and dynamic choices under pressure? How can the world around us (i.e. market trends, consumer behaviors, politics, international relations) influence the decision-making process and the choices organizations make? Through a breadth of classes in the consistently evolving fields of strategy, finance, economics, leadership, psychology, political science, organizational theory, and a multitude of interdisciplinary disciplines, I intend to delve deep into the theoretical concepts that shape the aforementioned fields and subsequently apply the quantitative and qualitative knowledge I acquire towards problem-solving and dynamic innovation in the business and entrepreneurship world. Throughout my time in OS, I intend to refine my ability to thrive and lead in uncomfortable situations so as to develop an unshakeable foundation in business, leadership development, and organizational theory. Furthermore, I'd like to apply each and every skill I learn towards developing a distinctive, multifaceted approach to addressing consumer needs, crafting unprecedented marketing and sales strategies using both creativity and data, breaking into the fields of finance and consulting, and improving both as an individual and as a member of an intricate and team-driven organization.
