Utilizing Data to Improve Business Decisions and Practices
With my interests in people and decision-making, business strategy and formulating methodical practices, and the effects of our ever-changing technological world on society, I intend to explore how technology, information, and people can connect to guide change and improve circumstances. Specifically, I am interested in how organizations can utilize information to affect positive change and promote worthwhile goals. Within this realm, I am intrigued to explore how the technological age affects organizations, including how they must adapt to changes and how technology can be an asset to organizations and individuals working within them. At the same time, I hope to learn to recognize potential issues and determine ways to mitigate them by utilizing data to advance business practices and produce better solutions. As I jointly pursue a degree with the School of Information focusing on Information Analysis, I am eager to combine statistical and analytical skills with knowledge of business strategy and decision-making to help people and organizations advance in society.
